Data Governance, Lead Consultant

Since partnering with Databricks in 2019, Lovelytics has experienced exponential growth, growing from 50 people to over 340 over the past 3 years. Lovelytics is a trusted partner for many of the most high-profile enterprise clients in Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities, Retail & CPG, Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Financial Services.
We’re building a new data governance capability for one of our impressive clients and we’re looking for a Data Governance Lead Consultant who can drive the delivery of professional services including the creation and management of metadata management and data quality solutions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into data, asking the right questions, and translating business needs into world-class data governance solutions.
You’ll work closely with data owners and stewards, data governance leaders, business users, and technical stakeholders to help ensure that the new data capabilities are designed and built to deliver superior business value.

- Collaborate with the data governance team to meet with business stakeholders across departments and understand current governance requirements capabilities and assist in designing and operationalizing new capabilities
- Assist in delivering the deployment of data governance operating models and processes
- Create and deliver change management and training materials
- Assist in the deployment of technical solutions including Databricks Unity Catalog and other data catalog and quality toolsets
- Drive the creation and implementation of governance policies and procedures
- Help improve internal documentation standards and support clear communication between business and technical teams
Our Ideal Candidate's Skills and Experiences:
- 3–5 years of experience delivering data management or data governance solutions, preferably in data lakehouse environments
- Proficiency in data governance capabilities as defined by the DAMA-DMBOK
- Strong skills in data governance toolsets like Atlan, Databricks Unity Catalog, Collibra, Alation, or Anomalo
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Experience with data projects (ETL, data modeling, reporting) is a plus, but deep engineering experience is not required
- Familiarity with Databricks
